MACE

 MACE degree in Global Format 

Students enrolled in the MACE degree in Global Format will complete their degree in 2 years of full-time study. Their first year of study will occur on the Richmond campus, where they will enroll in 7 courses (Biblical Interpretation: Old Testament; Biblical Interpretation: New Testament; Introduction to Theology; an Education Core course and 3 focused elective courses). One of the focused electives will be completed in May term. Students’ second year of study will occur via distance education when they have returned to their home countries. This coursework will include enrollment in 2 Supervised ministry courses, 2 Education core courses and the MACE integrated project. 

Year 1 (21 credit hours in Richmond) 

Bible/Theology Core (9 credit hours) 

  • Biblical Interpretation: Old Testament 
  • Biblical Interpretation: New Testament 
  • Introduction to Theology 

 

Education Core (3 credit hours) in one of the competency areas 

(Educational Theories, Faith Formation, Educational Practices) 

Focused Electives (9 credit hours) 

Year 2 (15 credit hours via distance learning) 

Supervised Ministry (6 credit hours) 

Education Core (6 credit hours) in two of the remaining competency areas 

(Educational Theories, Faith Formation, Educational Practices) 

MACE Integrated Project completed in the final semester
