Who we are
Since its formation in 1812, Union Presbyterian Seminary has provided leadership education for Christian ministry that is scholarly, pastoral, and engaged with contemporary life. The Communications Office works cooperatively with other departments and the news media to help tell its story to students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, donors, and the communities surrounding its Richmond and Charlotte campuses. It uses a variety of communication channels, including social media, videos, livestreaming, podcasts, the web, eblasts, publications, and writing to engage with its internal and external publics. 

Duties
You will work closely with the office’s leadership team to strategize and advance projects, including preparing social media, blogs, publications, podcasts, website editing, livestreaming, and e-blasts; and writing news releases.

Minimum qualifications
You must possess strong writing and editing ability, excellent organizational skills, an ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage several assignments, knowledge of communications strategy, proficiency with WordPress, Google Apps, eblast apps such as Mailchimp, and Zoom; and an interest in photography, videography, and graphic design. 

Hours and work location are flexible. $14/hour. Open until filled.
