Solo Pastor–First Presbyterian Church–Hobbs, NM
We are looking for a full time pastor to deliver meaningful and relatable sermons each Sunday morning as well as being the head of staff and moderating Session Meetings. Attend other committee meetings as needed. A main responsibility would be to have a deep faith, integrity and a genuine love for God’s word. Be a compassionate and approachable leader, eager to connect with and inspire our congregation by promoting a sense of belonging for all. We would welcome a Pastor that is an excellent communicator, able to deliver a meaningful and relatable sermon. We would welcome a visionary who can guide us in growing our faith and expanding our outreach and engaging with the wider community. We would welcome an advocate for inclusivity and promoting a sense of belonging for all. We would expect a called person to moderate our session meetings. We would welcome a called Pastor that could shepherd our church family in a compassionate way and hopefully bring his or her family into our church lives as well. When our future Pastor needs time away, they can rest and rejuvenate knowing that our congregation values self care and can fill the pulpit with many different people while they are away.
