Part-time/Salary Range $20,000-$24,750

Ø We are a vibrant, thriving, and growing congregation of ~75 members who considers Music Ministry to be a vital part of Worship.
Ø The choir has around 15 members and is dedicated and talented. In addition, we employ 2 vocalists each Sunday to allow for a wider range of music, for solos, duets, etc.
Ø The Choir meets on Sundays at 9 am – 9:45 am for rehearsal before Worship begins at 10 am. In summer months (June-July,) the full choir does not meet. For the anthem, the Director of Music could choose special music—instrumental, soloist, duet, small choir, etc.
Ø The annual salary range for this position is between $20,000-$24,750.
Ø In addition to Sunday worship, the Director of Music & Church Musician would be responsible for leading music for the following additional Services:
o Ash Wednesday (7 pm)
o Maundy Thursday (7 pm)
o Good Friday (7 pm)
o Sunrise Service (7 am)
o Christmas Eve Service (5 pm/5:30 pm)
However, we can be flexible by the Director assisting the Worship Team in finding guest musicians for the Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Sunrise services.
Ø Because our congregation values music, we do have several Sunday services that offer more music than spoken word. They are:
o Easter Service at 10 am: Choir Cantata/Music selections in lieu of sermon.
o Thanksgiving Service (the Sunday before Thanksgiving): After a short meditation by Pastor, the Director plays a medley of music for reflection of our many blessings.
o Hanging of the Greens Service (First Sunday of Advent): We have choir/congregational/special music between the various parts of decorating the Sanctuary.
o Lessons & Carols Service (Fourth Sunday of Advent): We have choir/congregational/special music along with scripture.
Ø The Director of Music selects hymns, anthems, prelude, postlude, etc. for each Sunday and special services. The Pastor will provide Worship Scriptures and Themes, but the Director of Music is allowed to select the music for each Sunday and special services.
