Dean McFayden will participate in the Trent Symposium from March 29-April 3, 2019. The Kittye Susan Trent Symposium, a collaborative effort between Second Presbyterian Church, Roanoke, VA, and Union Presbyterian Seminary, assists newly ordained pastors who show promise for one day leading larger congregations. The symposium assists the pastors in continuing to bridge the gap between seminary and congregation, exploring ways to put important theory into effective practice. Professors, experienced ministers, and qualified laypeople lead seminars in the context of a large, vibrant congregation..
