Internship Basics

In the rapidly changing landscape of the church in the world, supervised ministry fosters excellent pastoral and educational leadership. Supervised ministry courses cultivate theological integration through theological reflection and assessment of ministerial practice enhanced by the interaction between students, supervisors, peers, mentoring teams, and the instructor. In many denominations, supervised ministry in a parish setting is an ordination or certification requirement. Approved internship sites for Charlotte and Richmond are listed on our website.
