Dr. James Taneti discussed his new book in a Podcast

Byung Ho Choi is a Ph.D. Student at Princeton Theological Seminary along with Akhil Thomas of Harvard Divinity School have hosted James Taneti in a Podcast in New Books Network. James Taneti, the director of the Syngman Rhee Global Mission Center for at Union Presbyterian Seminary, has recently written a monograph about Telugu Christians, a faith community in southeast India. Taneti narrates the history of the Telugu Christians, the interactions between the latter and western missionaries during the era in the first half of the book. In the second half, he examines the appropriation of the Christian message among the Telugu Christians, the role of caste, gender, and local cultures in the process.
