Meet Bayo Ogungbade (M.Div. ‘24), a force for faith and community impact! A Richmond native and the proud son of Nigerian immigrants, Bayo is known for his infectious joy, deep compassion, and unwavering commitment to creating spaces where people encounter God in meaningful ways.

As Associate Pastor of Adult Discipleship at Reveille UMC, he’s leading with the same vision that led him to launch Reap and Sow in his final year at UPSeminary—a short-term, student-led worship movement that inspired students across campus. He also cultivates Vibrant Life, Reveille’s young adult community, helping emerging leaders find their voice in faith.

Beyond the pulpit, Bayo is always on the move—traveling, playing sports, exploring new foods, and embracing life with the same energy he brings to ministry. His leadership is shaping the future of the church, proving that faith isn’t just something to be preached—it’s something to be lived boldly.

They joined the Seminary’s first 'lunch church,' where students and faculty bonded over a shared meal. Dr. Megan Strollo presided as attendees reflected on meaningful meals in their lives.
