Head of Staff / Pastor – First Presbyterian Church – Jefferson City, MO
We are a mission-oriented church with four international mission areas: Peru, Malawi, Nepal and Ukraine/Hungary and several dozen local community missions, some of which are done in conjunction with other churches. Our morning Preschool has been operating for 43 years and regularly enrolls 40+ children who are from a variety of countries including India, Jordan, Afghanistan, Mexico and others. The Journey youth group and Presbyterian Children’s Fellowship meet Wednesday evenings, a Men’s group meets twice a month, Presbyterian Women with two circles and Bible study meet monthly, two other Bible study classes meet weekly, and a care for creation group which just worked to get us designated as a “care for creation congregation” meets monthly.
Our church is warm and inviting, full of a variety of people with a variety of gifts. We have over 100 in worship every Sunday morning and an additional unique evening service for our community on Sunday evenings that concludes with a meal.
