BY DANA VAUGHN (M.Div.’13)

Day 1 of the India travel seminar was action-packed.

Our day started out with a worship service at St. John’s church. James Taneti delivered a wonderful sermon on how God is always doing a new thing. He spoke about how we should never underestimate or overlook how God is always at work in our lives and working through all people.

The congregation of St. John’s provided a wonderful meal for us following worship. We are all thoroughly enjoying the Indian cuisine. After lunch we ventured to Red Fort, which was constructed in the 17th century.

Red Fort

After touring around Red Fort we walked through a huge open market as we made our way to a mosque. It was such a neat experience to take in all the sites, and people, and food.

Needless to say, we are all very tired after our first day in India and
making the most of it as we continue to adjust to the time difference.

We will continue to keep you posted on our experience!
