Course Description:

The keynote of Wesleyan theology is grace, understood experientially by the followers of Jesus in at least three modes of grace: prevenient, justifying, sanctifying. This course will explore the modes of grace within Wesleyan Theology, specifically related to the Sacraments.

Meet the Instructor

Rev. Alan Combs is an ordained elder in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, serving as pastor of First United Methodist Church in Salem, VA. With over 15 years of experience, he is dedicated to Wesleyan theology, spiritual formation, and ecumenical dialogue. He has also been involved with the General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns.
