Anchored by a core group of PSCE Class of ‘79 graduates, 17 people including PSCE grads from other years, Union graduates, and spouses and friends, enjoyed a five-day excursion through the Canadian Rockies. Inspired by the theme of gratitude, we named and recalled professors who prepared us for 40+ years of ministry, mentors who encouraged and supported us, and the school that empowered our gifts and call to serve the church of Jesus Christ. We are truly indebted to this beloved community.

The tour was organized by Von Clemans (PSCE, M.A.’80, UTS, M.Div.’78) and Joyce MacKichan Walker (PSCE, M.A.’79). John Johnson (PSCE M.A.’79) writes:

“A couple of years ago, as we gathered at an APCE annual event, we realized that 2019 would mark the 40th reunion year for the PSCE Class of ’79.  We decided we needed to take a class trip. Planning got underway with Von Clemans and Joyce MacKichan Walker, working with Stephanie Fritz in planning the trip. Getting input and suggestions from the group, we decided on the Canadian Rockies train trip. We gathered in Vancouver on October 2nd, had a day or so out there, and then headed out by train to Kamloops, BC, and then to Jasper, Alberta. From Jasper, we traveled by motorcoach to Lake Louise and Banff. We shuttled to Calgary to fly home. It was an amazing trip – and I even got a sermon out of it! Truly a spiritual experience!”
