Friends of the Seminary
In 1945, 10 women came together with a simple but powerful sense of purpose: to encourage people to consider a call to ministry and to provide support for students at Union Presbyterian Seminary.
From that first gathering, the Friends of the Seminary began shaping a legacy of faithfulness that continues today. Over the decades, they have carried the seminary’s mission into local congregations, lifted up its work through prayer and advocacy, encouraged others to invest in theological education, and helped connect future students to Union. Their generosity and steady support have strengthened the school across generations, sustaining its work and helping prepare leaders for the Church. What began as the vision of a small group has become one of the seminary’s most enduring and vital communities of support.
