Online Workshop: Social Media Deep Dive for Churches

Dates:  Tuesdays, October 19 – November 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. EST (Note: This online workshop is a four-part series).

Led by:  Christen Kinard, Founder, Digital Congregations

Workshop Description: This 4-part course is designed for anyone who communicates—or wants to communicate—on behalf of a church via social media. It will demystify social media platforms and teach you how to use them most effectively in connecting with your congregation. In addition to the four 75-minute sessions, workshop participants will receive the recordings and slides from each class in case they are unable to attend. Each week, office hours are offered for one-on-one conversation. At the end of the month, participants will also receive a take-home tool sheet so they are fully equipped to move forward with confidence.

Tuesday, October 19 | 11 a.m. ET
All Platforms Are Not Equal
Every social media platform serves a different purpose, reaches a different audience, and should be used differently. In this 75-minute session, we will:

– review how to use them to their fullest advantage,
– determine the most appropriate platform(s) for your church.

– teach you how to avoid them in the future,
– clear up any lingering confusion about the ins and outs of posting.

Tuesday, November 2 | 11 a.m. ET
Making It Work For You
Do you find yourself looking for things to post? Do you wonder when to post them? The biggest hurdle to impactful social media communication is getting and staying organized. In this 75-minute session, we will:
– pinpoint the best types of content and the best times to post,
– share all the industry secrets for scheduling and saving time,
– help you develop your own content calendar and messaging direction.

Tuesday, November 9 | 11 a.m. ET
From Analytics to Insights
Every social media platform provides its users with a wealth of information. But understanding this information and how to use it can be difficult. In this 75-minute session, we will:
– break down the types of analytics and what they mean;
– measure the impact of your marketing, content, and social activity;
– uncover the insights to inform and improve your strategy.
