Biography
Robin McCall holds an M.Div. from Baptist Theological Seminary, an MLIS from UNC—Greensboro, and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Princeton Theological Seminary. Her teaching focuses on helping students develop and implement information fluency — that is, practical research skills online and in the library and critical evaluation of source material. She believes that thoughtful consumption of the information around us and informed, ethical use of research materials are not just vital skills for everyone, but gifts we can offer to God and to our fellow humans. Before becoming a librarian, Dr. McCall was a professor of biblical Hebrew and Hebrew Bible.
Research Interests
Her research interests include the Hebrew Bible’s Priestly literature, the grotesque in biblical literature, biblical perceptions of divine and human bodies, and feminist and queer biblical interpretation.
