Union Presbyterian Seminary is also accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. In Richmond, there are five approved degree programs: Master of Arts in Christian Education, Master of Arts in Practical Theology, Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, Doctor of Ministry. In Charlotte, there are three approved degree programs: Master of Arts in Christian Education, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry.

Both Union Presbyterian Seminary campuses are fully accredited by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church for the instruction of United Methodist students who seek to be pastors.
