Bicentennial Album
One of the earliest photos in the Union archives believed to be outside the first Union Theological Seminary building at Hampden-Sydney College, circa 1812.
Walter W. Moore, the seminary's first president, led the move in 1898 to Richmond to allow students greater practical experience in an urban environment. Early photos of Westminster and Watts Hall are pictured at left below. Photo at right shows a dirt Westwood Avenue.

As we celebrate the upcoming Bicentennial of Union Presbyterian Seminary, we honor our rich past while looking forward to an exciting future. We ask for your help as we periodically add to this On-line Bicentennial Album looking back over the last two hundred years of our history. Please forward any digital images you would like to share to communications@upsem.edu.
