Faith Review – The Hurt Locker (2008)

“War is a drug.” That is the tagline for this grueling film about the risks and terrors of an IED response unit during the US war in Iraq. The film wrestles with the obvious themes of death and war, but also with the more troubling aspects of soldiering as a way to cope with the chaos in the world and one’s life.
