Union Presbyterian Seminary will open its 22,000-square-foot building, located on a three-acre, wooded tract leased from Sharon Presbyterian Church on Sharon Road by summer 2012. The plans are for a two-story building with two wings, including classrooms, a library able to hold 50,000 volumes, a multipurpose area with stained glass for worship and other large gatherings, seminary offices, other meeting spaces, a courtyard with a fountain and outdoor fireplace, and two indoor fireplaces.
